The Inn at Westwynd Farm is a luxurious bed and breakfast situated on a bucolic equestrian farm located in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, and minutes to Hershey, home of “The Sweetest Place on Earth”.
The Inn at Westwynd Farm is a contemporary set of buildings originally built in 2002, with additions completed in 2005 and 2018, situated on 32 picturesque acres of rolling pastures in rural Pennsylvania. The original barn and some of the outbuildings associated with it are also present and still in use as agricultural facilities.
There are a total of 10 full guest rooms and suites in the main house (with an eleventh room to be rented with an adjoining guest room), and an additional suite in the Carriage House. Also in the main house is an additional bedroom which can be rented in conjunction with the Roman Canon guest room. Each of the full guest rooms and suites have en-suite bathrooms rooms, most have individual fireplaces, and several have in-room Jacuzzis. All have a elegant, horse country inspired decor. There is a bright dining room where guests sit at either individual or large group tables for breakfast. Additionally, there are 2 common-area living rooms plus a library, along with several different outdoor patios and covered porch areas for guest lounging.
Of special note for this property is the 3 bedroom, 3 bath owner’s quarters, which is a completely separate structure that is connected to the Inn by a covered walkway. And, there is an office area and a fully enclosed garage!
Every room of the Inn (and owners’ quarters) has expansive views of the surrounding property, which often has horses grazing in the fields, in addition to some wetlands and a stunning water feature.
The B&B is located about 4 miles from the center of Hershey, PA, which is a major draw for guests. In addition, there are 5 major metropolitan areas within an easy 4 hour drive: Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore MD, New York, NY, and Washington, D.C., all of which combine to make this a readily accessible vacation destination for both couples and families.
The horse barns containing 20 horse stalls are currently leased and managed locally. They offer some additional income while also providing the enhanced ambience for the farm and guests.
And the expansive grounds provide a wonderful backdrop for a variety of events, both inside and out (and could be expanded with the upgrade of some of the outbuildings). This 32 acre property has a great deal of future potential with this business due to the prime location, great ambience and existing structures that would make ideal venue space.
